Can a permit be issued if an authorisation is out of date?

No. The permit request checks every crew member's authorisations and training first; an expired one blocks the issue and that crew member is swapped out before the window. The control room confirms the isolation on the same screen.

Does check-in work at a site with no signal?

Yes. The check-in is saved on the phone with its real time and syncs as soon as there is signal again. The control room sees it as pending until then.

Are allowances applied automatically?

Yes. Remote-site and call-out allowances and overtime are applied by your rules from the hours on the permit, so nobody adds them by hand.

What does the network operator get at the end?

A job record from the same data: the permit, who was on site and for how long, the allowances and overtime applied. It goes out with the hours, with nothing retyped.
