Questions from telecom and field service.

Can a technician close a job from the phone?

Yes. The checklist, the photos and the customer's signature are taken on the phone, the job closes when the technician leaves, and time on site, travel and materials are on the record. There is no timesheet to fill in afterwards.

Do subcontractor crews work the same way?

Yes. Subcontractor crews use the same app on the same jobs, with their certificates checked the same way. Their jobs are paid per completed job from the same record.

How are travel and time on site recorded?

From the phone. The technician's check-in and check-out are the attendance record: the job starts and ends there, and travel is the time between jobs. Nobody fills in a timesheet afterwards.

What does the office see, and when?

The closed job, minutes after the technician leaves: checklist, photos, signature, time, travel and materials. The pay line and the invoice line come from that record.
